Unhappy Had a little mishap with my 89GT...Damage pics!

Well last Thursday I finally got my 89 GT Hatch on the road after roughly 4 months of repairs and upgrades and Sunday I had a slight mishap while on a joyride.

My hood latch let go at about 40mph and the hood came up, folded over the roof, smashed my sunroof and completely trashed the newly repaired cowl and new cowl grille. This is the second hood this car has had, I replaced the first one when I bought it because, guess what, the hood flew up and creased it. 3rd hood, I'm pinning that bad sucker! I don't trust latches anymore haha...just thought I'd share.

Haha my bad, I realized I was in Tech. and not Gen. Discussion after I hit submit. And yeah, it does suck. I'm just gonna park it and start work on the motor, I'll take care of this stuff in the spring.

Same thing happened to this 89 hatch my friend was buying, the hood flew up on the fwy, the guy fixed it and repainted the whole thing, and my friend bought it for less than he was going to before :-)
