A tach question
My tach is dead so I need to replace it, now I just have to choose between a replacement tach for $110 or a pedestal mounted auto meter tach for $60
I'm not getting a big monster tach or a tach with a shift light, just a tach.
I don't really like the idea of putting an aftermarket tach in but its a lot cheaper, what would you guys do?

What year stang is it? I have a spare tach for an 84-86. I might be able to get my hands on and 87-93 tach also. I'm like you. I don't like adding on tach's. Other gauges that can reside in a pod are fine.
BTW, I have relatives in Summerville, SC.

U.S. Marine :: Its a 93, ps: thats pretty cool, A friend of mine just left a few days ago with the Marines...don't know to do what...he had the uniform on so he was past basic and all that stuff. But I'm not 100% on that, cause I'm not a marine...so I don't know how that works. lol. If you find a tach I'd be very greatfull, especially if it's cheaper than $110...
mjr46 :: the terms "NEW" and "Stock Tach" are not compatable, I wish they were cause I would, lol.
Ford basicly dropped the Fox and doesn't even rebuild the parts any more. And I've yet to find another maker who makes a OEM tach. Exceptions: Prestige mustang can sell me one, and Midwest Mustang can sell me one...they are both mustang graveyards and don't rebuild parts as far as I know, they just sell the stuff out of the car...
If I was building a race car I would have parts flowing like milk and honey, but I'm trying to keep most of the stuff stock...which means parts are just about as easy to find as nice hondas...
