Ok, i have rusted longtube macs of unknown size, an O/R H-pipe, to flowmasters currently on my cobra.


I have a brand new set of BBK 1 5/8s ceramic coated LT headers, with a Matching O/R X pipe sitting around that i was going to put on my GT.

Should i swap out my Rusted LT MACS and old O/R h for the ceramic coated BBKs, and O/R X? It will retain the same flowmaster mufflers. Which setup do you think would sound sweeter, the labor doing it is no big deal, i dont have **** else to do anyways...

The H- pipe will have a little deeper tone to it, but the x is a little raspier, personally i prefer the h pipes!

I would use the H but using the ceramic headers would look better and help lower under hood temps a little as well.

It would pretty much be the same. I think the x provides maybe a couple of hp diff but not much.

i think ive decided to go ahead and swap it in in a week or two. It sounds like it has an exhaust leak anyways. A few of the header bolts are randomly missing, probably chewed the header gasket up, so the headers gotta come off anyways

Id swap it in. I think x pipes sound alot better too.

taking macs headers off your car is NEVER a downgrade... I dont care what your putting back
