Default notch and hatch questions

im in the process of buying another foxbody and my plans for it is to run 10-11 sec 1/4 mile and for some reason everyone tells me to get a notch would be much better. and i was told that a hatch has more body flex. can some one please explain and tell me what is really the difference. and which one would be easier to work with and not give me headaches down the road.

Notch is a stiffer & lighter car! ...The hatch has a lot of flex compared to the Coupe's trunk...

yea weigh less but in most cases your going to pay alot more for a Notch than a Hatch. So figure what a few hundred lbs is worth to you.

flex shouldnt be an issue if you want to run 10's your going to have to have a cage in it anyways and that should slove any flex problem

^^^agreed if flex is the only thing your worried about you will need a cage for those times anyways , and will want to have subframe connectors on top of the cage also..
