Battery Reloc Kit

Battery Reloc Kit
As the title hints, I'm planning on a battery relocation kit. What are quality kits to buy? I was considering summit kits but I don't like the plastic batt box. How are Taylor Wire kits?
What guage wire is needed? 1 or 2? Some kits offer either.
Also... any snags that people have run into when installing these? What did you do to remedy the situation?
Thanks, Anthony

well, when we installed mine there was some issue where we couldn't get the bolts to thread down and we had to drop the gas tank to figure out wtf was up with it. Not sure if you are required to drop the tank but it made it a hell of a lot easier to do it when we did the relocation!

i did the summit premium battery relocation kit. i recomend no less than 1awg. only snag i ran into was running my main power wire up to the engine bay. you'll find a hole behind driver side kick panel about moulding heigth behind the fender. just big enough to get the wire through and has a grommet in it already
also i did mine with the jacknuts without dropping the tank. 1hour install for me

dunno about the RULE for nhra about it, but i'd recommend just having the tube their for your own reasons. If it's sitting in your car and lets say you havent gotten in it for a while there's gonna be all these battery fumes chillin inside your car, if you have it vented it goes outside your car!!! Just for your own health, and lets say your battery fails or leaks inside the sealed container, even though it's sealed theres gonna be tons of fumes built up inside there, they are bound to get out and inside your car air!

Can you fellas explain how you would go about running a vent tube to the outside of the car... and where? Would it just be a tube going from the box through a snug grommet in the floor(that I have to drill/install of course) and vent under the rear of the car? Aside from the upcoming winter months this car is a DD. Would it really be that important to vent the battery outside... especially when I know to let the car fumigate for a bit after pulling it out of winter storage(purely as a precaution).

Yes it is important, it's like saying you want to have exhaust pipes going right into your car daily, even though you will fumigate it all the time, it still goes into your breathing air. It's always better to do it now and if you dont want it later, cap it off, but having to drill later on if you didn't do it while you installed it might be extra work compared to an extra couple minutes of work while installing originally.
