power window?

Default power window?

ok my power window on my passenger side didnt work so i bought a "used" switch and now the window goes down but doesnt go back up...any suggestions on what else might be the problem would be appreciated!

yeah don't be so cheap next time and spend the 15 bucks it costs for a new switch...install a new one and it should solve the issue

Since you replaced the switch with another that seems like its the problem. I would get a multimeter and test the voltage going into the window motor with the switch in the up and down position. If you get power in one direction and not the other them you need a new switch. If have power in both but movement in only one the you need a new motor.

does it make a clicking sound when you press the switch to go up? if so the rollers in the window need to be replaced

no theres no clicking sound at all, it just goes down and theres nothing when i hit the up button.

got a cavalier with that problem ...the motor is to weak to push the window back up more than a inch at a time but it goes down just fine
not sure if thats your problem but its something to look at

you might be able find replacements at junkyards

I found a new switch for mine there. ( the little white arrows on the buttons werent worn off too! =O )
