So Mike and I got the gears in today. Went nice and smooth since all the PITA work was done the last go round. Got it done relatively quick which was nice so we got done early for a change. They feel pretty good and are amazingly QUIET!!! Thanks bro, much appreciated!!!!



Side note, on the way home form Mike's shop out on the highway I had a guy in a 93 teal Cobra sneak up behind me. Car was beautiful. We were rollin' 80-90 but no real action. He had a supercharged emblem under his 5.0 on the front quarters as well.

 

That would have been a fun ride. Did either of you even try . Glad to hear you finally got them in.

 

Naa not really. Seemed more like a mutual respect for one another actually.

 

I hear ya. I like to play follow the leader once I get up to those speeds. That way if a cop is on the side of the highway there is more than one of us going that fast

 

Yeah, actually that did happen. We crested a hill and about a 1/2 mile up, there was a state trooper sittin in the median. He was in front of me. We hit the brakes and just cruised right by.

 

good to hear you had no problems with this set. my gears are really quiet too, no noise. maybe when i get my new build goin with my heads, cam and nitrious this summer we could all go out to the track out your way.

lol. little bit, bernie. i like to travel though and ive been to every state west of michigan so i think it'd be a good trip to go somewhere i havent before.

heck im headed out to vegas in feb with the fam, my sister is finally coming home from Iraq and we figured we'd all go out to vegas. also while i was out there i was thinkin it'd be sweet to meet SPC while i was out at the casinos.

 

LOL....i HAD A Z-06 sneak up on me on the way home but traffic was all around so ne real place to get into it so he whipped around me in the slow lane..I didn't even try to play as there was a car in front of me.....................anyway, glad to hear the gears are quiet, if all goes well for you with the 4.10's I may contemplate 4.10's in the future but first, the guy who is working on my cobo revision got back to me and will start with possible cam revision after Thanksgiving
