Polyurethane Bushings
I've done full poly bushings on a car before and noticed a really big difference in how tight the whole thing felt in general.
They where a major pain to install as I had to burn a bunch of the old rubber ones out (don't know if this'll be the case on a mustang) but worth it imop. I also notice a bit of noise out of them, esspecialy when its cold out. but again, worth it to me.
Shop around. I saw that latemodel restoration had a kit that even included motor mounts for around $200. seems like a good deal.

On my neighbors 1989 5.0 we installed some of those and yes it does make a difference. I wouldn't say a HUGE difference like a new car or anything, but it's definitely a noticeable change!!! For the better that is!!!!!!
i've changed to poly on every bushing on my car.the biggest pain was the lower control arm bushings on the front. i had to press them in. also dont use poly on the rear uppers they bind too much. i put polys on the rear uppers then switched back to rubber from ford racing. yes it made a big difference. there is a lot of loss in compressing the rubber bushings. more vibration but it's well worth it.
