i don't think struts is going to be a good place to save weight. i shopped for new struts for a long time and none of them ever addressed the issue of weight.
i read somewhere on here somebody did not like qa1 k member; don't know if their other parts are same. i went with tokico five way adjustable and am very happy with them.
well to awnser the OPs question, strange, tokico, qa1 kyb, and on the cheaper side gabriel all offer good choices, my vote goes for the strange as the best.
well qa1 offers some that are 200 bucks a piece that are said to be a couple lbs lighter than the avg strut. then theres strange struts that are known for just being bad ***. i havent used either one but im ordering strange when the time comes
You are not gonna save much weight at all in the struts so why are you really worried about it? I would go with strange 10 ways. You can use them for street and track with the turn of a ****.
