Hey guys, I've got a dilemma. My car currently has a tt 302, I need to put a dart block and forged internals in it. I'm not sure what motor I want to go with. I'm stuck between a 347 and a 351 based stroker. What I want out of this engine is first and foremost durability, I'll probably be putting at least 15 psi through it eventually. My second goal is RPM, I'd like to be able to shift around 6500-7000 rpm. I'd love to have a 408, (and the torque that comes with it) but I don't want to have to buy an intake, exhaust, and all the other parts i'd need, as well as re route the entire turbo system. I'm also assuming that the 351 motor would have a larger rotating mass, therefore limiting rpm capability. I guess my question is this... How high could I reliably spin a 347 without breaking anything, and are there any pros besides displacement to going with a 351 block? Either one will be a dart block and forged internals, and I've already got the heads and valvetrain components to make this pretty reliable. Or another possibility, would a 302 or 331 be better than the 347? I'd think that the shorter/slower the stroke, the better for high rpm the motor is.

As it sits right now, the car is on 7 psi with 420/452 to the wheels. Stock block with probe forged aluminum pistons, forged steel rods and crank. Edelbrock ported aluminum heads, custom turbo cam, and the valves/springs that came on the heads. I will probably end up upgrading springs when I pull the motor apart.
