Default got a ques.

what does degreeing the cam do? does it add hp?or does it take a hp if you don't degree it? All I done when I put mine in was just slide it in

It moves the powerband of the cam up or down depending which way you degree it.

but it doesn't really give hp just moves it around a bit

an E-cam .498 lift is pretty much all I know about it

Ah aint got a clue what that is!i presume its not a standard spec cam tho!i would just set it too standard if you are not sure!It all depends on how much clearance you have between your valves and pistons!


With regards to your power question it totally depends on the cam and other mods to your engine!some cams will give better lower down torque other will give less torque but more hp at the higher rpm band!

^This guy must not know anything about mustangs if he doesn't know what a e-cam is lol.
But like onyx said all it does is move the power band around a little. I have heard moving one way gives you a little more torque and moving it the other gives you a little more hp. I wouldn't worry about it and just leave it straight up.

lol good idea. But if you ever buy a new cam, the company should/will have a card with information on the cam and the instructions for it should tell you about degreeing the specific cam.
