Rear end is back

looking good so far

while the back end is out, I'd spring for some new spring isolators or polyurethane spring isolators... the original ones prolly arent in great of shape being abour 26 years old

Well if anyone wants to know how to remove the cable it is very easy. All you need to do is take a 1/2in end wrench and slide the closed end over the cable and it will compress the tabs then all you do is pull it out from the back. And if anyone was wondering, i swear the 7.5 is not any lighter than the 8.8

What are you going to do for a speedo gear and the 4.10's??

Well tbh havent even thought about that much. lol just go with the flow of traffic?

Well heres a little update. The 8.8 is semi in right now, upper and lower control arms are hooked up. Ran into one little problem though, the shock bolts are to big for the mounts on the 8.8

Kudos to you for taking on this swap by yourself. It's tough to kep them in balance while you muscle them around.

Oh yeah, its quite a task and ive gotten very creative at times. But hey, its given me somthing to do. and a heck of a work out lugging those rear ends around.

and yet another small update. Got all the fluid lines hooked up, thought that would be easier than it was. They just didnt turn the right way and what not, but man > machine and i got that all sorted out. Now im off to try to put the brakes back together, man talk about one crazy puzzle. So many springs and what not.

you should have taken a picture of the drums before you took them apart. they really arent that hard to put together
