Shhhwwwwweeet!! You're gonna love the new 4.10's. Sucks you don't have any help, but you should be able to do it in your time frame. Took me and my cousin like 4-5 hours to slap mine in, so over two days you should be out and ripping it up. Make sure you do a little bit of a break in, just to make sure she's not whining. Also do a couple tight circles (left & right) at low speed to get the friction modifier all worked into the clutches . Get at er', and good luck on the swap. Let us know how you like em!

Well started tearing into it today. So far its been quite easy. Just dropped the 7.5. Now im gonna tackle swaping the brake parts around.
On a side note, how much gear oil do i need to put in the 8.8 and what weight.
A few pics after getting the springs out.

2 quarts of 75w90 and make sure you get a thing of friction modifier if it's limited slip.
8.8's are fairly light/easy to get in and out by yourself. I had to muscle a loaded Dana 60 under my 67 Dart Project by myself, that sucked.

i use the new stuff ford has in all their rear diffs now its 75w 140 synthetic. i put it in my 7.5 and it worked wonders, gave her a new life till i killed her. if you get it from royal purple it already has friction modifier mixed in
