Default Another STEAL!!!

Got me a 1986 302 F150 from a friend of mines dad for 350.00. It
has a cracked windshield and the starter has went out. My plan it's to
spice it up a little and paint it black and pull my trailer with my STANGS
and drive it everyday. I was just getting ready to buy a 02 F150 but I am
going this route now for sure couldn't pass this up. Can I treat the motor just like
a 5.0 as far as parts and what I can do with it the intake is definetly weird looking unlike
the 5.0 but I am going to probably just do a tune-up some headers and exhaust maybe put some of my mustang parts I got lying around on it like my cold air, crane cam hi-6, msd coil and cap and what not. How good are the motors and what's the difference in it and a regular 86 HO motor cause I had a 86 awhile back. Oh yeah it has no rust all the body work is done and its smooth as
a baby's bottom.

they are pretty dependable motors, the trucks are pretty tough too. if its 4x4 make sure you keep yer tires rotated and check the front end parts at least every oil chang, ball joints spring univsals, etc. ive notice at the shop i work many people done keep the maintanance up on the older fords and it really snowballs fast, which equals $$$. but if you stay on top of them they last a long time and won't let ya down

the non-ho 302s used a different firing order, thus a different cam profile

I don't beleive it's a 4X4 though I just going to make it nice and dependable to pull my stang to the track and do some odd jobs...
