Because we have guys around here who have some really inexpensive (downright Cheap) 1/8 mile cars Ive seen a lot of Summit brand parts. Much to my surprize I havent been disappointed yet in the fit, finnish or performance of anything engine related that I've had pass through my hands. I shuttered the first time I went to install a Summit brand Cam until I saw the Crane Cam card. The Summit brand Roller timing chains are made by Cloyes. I know Summit doesnt build a single part that it sells under the Summit brand but someone does a pretty good job at picking out decent quality stuff to sell under the Summit Brand name. I'm very skeptical when it comes to off brand anything but my son who is on a real tight budget built his 383 S-10 using everything Summit Brand from the Intake to the oil pan other than the block and built a 383 stroker using an Edelbrock 1407 carb that makes over 400 hp for less than 3000 dollars.

The Summit Rotating assembly had a Cast steel stroker crank (unknown make) Clevite 77 bearings, Scat rods(full floating), Keith Blck Pistons, Seal Power rings, Melling oil pump w/shaft, Fel-Pro gaskets, Cloyes Timing chain, Pioneer Freeze plugs.
The Summit Vortec Heads were GM Vortec castings, Summit Cam and lifter set (Cam by Crane) Lifters? Summit Pushrods (crane) Summit Rocker arms (Crane long slot self align)
Summt Stage 3 intake, Summit Chrome Valve and timing covers (unknown) Summit oil pan, Summit HEI dist and Taylor wires, and a reman water pump and a new edelbrock 1407 carb all ready to set in for less than 3000 dollars. He put it in his 92 S-10 Blazer and it's a strong durable engine. He has put about 15,000 miles on it in the last 6 months without a so much as a hic-up.

I can't imagine Summit Racing throwing down the cheapest control arms made for the sake of discounting the price. So far The cheapest thing Ive seen was the Chrome timing cover made in China but it doesnt leak. He did good in his situation and uses this thing to pull his boat, go to work and the occasional trip to the track. He drives it just about everywhere. While I'm stuck in a world of expensive parts he's out driving the wee out of his. He has less than 5000 dollars total (Daddy gave him the block, lol) in a 12 second street driver than can do about anything. You won't hear me saying anything bad about Summit Branded parts.

100.00 seems awfully inexpensive for control arms. Are these uppers and lowers?
