347 581hp when we had it on the dyno. It was RPM limited so we switched out the springs to an Ovate beehive BBC Comp spring and Titainium retainers. We didn't put it back on the dyno to check it out. I could have shot lashed it and I'm sure it would have gone past 600. I'll know more when I do some shakedown passes
I'm going for that simple 60's look. I've worked on complicated stuff for so long I laid out the plan. The closest point between two lines is a straight line. So what it will only get 8 mpg, lol
Absolutly, If budgets permit it's a good way to go. If someone is building on a budget there are plenty of off the shelf grinds that can get the job done. I've had some off the shelf grinds that would actually pull the car better than the custom units did despite better dyno pulls. While you hear me talk about the disadvantages of the Vic Jr intake you see one on my car. My car has a 3500 stall so I don't need the low end. I don't disagree on the advantages of these parts buy I'm experianced enough to know that there is more than one way to skin a cat.
