Default Block strength???

I just aquired a 1972 351 block and i know those early years were "better" than late model blocks...what is the general consensus of HP limits for that year...Im sure the knowledge is here. The search feature is like a needle in a hay stack.

What do you guys think??

50-60hp more IF your luck and if you are building a run of the mill 400-450hp engine and plan on using stock hyd roller lifters, the early block is way more hassle then warranted

Wow, I was watching the cowboys get wasted, I thought you were inquiring about a 302, ANY year windsor block will go 700-800 with the right builder. In your case the block is irrelevant as you are running a solid
