If you haven't cleaned your MAF in a while...
Do it!
I bought a can of MAF cleaner on a whim the other day just because I realized mine probably hasn't been cleaned since 1994. I didn't have any hesitation or misfiring issues, and the car didn't feel sluggish or anything. Basically, the car ran great. I cleaned it but didn't get a chance to drive the car until after work so I just went out for a quick lap when I got back. I punched it through 1st and 2nd just to see if there was any effect. I literally said "holy crap" out loud the increase in performance was that noticeable.
The moral? If you haven't cleaned your MAF in awhile, even if you don't have any problems with your engine, it might not be a bad idea to buy a can and give it a shot. Took me about 15 minutes tops taking my time.
On another topic, my christmas/graduation present is still on backorder from LRS :/

buy MAF cleaner from wal-mart, unbolt the MAF and unplug it, spray the crap out of the inside let it soak, removed MAF sensor from the housing, spray the housing and maf sensor, let it soak.
clean maf housing with rag, and Q-tips in the lil parts, and VERY VERY VERY carefully clean the maf sensor with a Q-tip (if you press to hard, you WILL break it)
easy as hell'z yo.

I remember the last time I tried cleaning a maf on my linc I ****ed up and it messed it up bad.
So I have it right. Clean the maf by spraying (close range?) the maf sensor (wire thing) and the maf unit, then remove the sensor and use q-tips to get the gunk out?
