Default Help! Car won't start

I installed a new mass airflow sensor today, and I disconnected/reconnected the battery to speed up the learning process for the fuel trim. I let the car sit with the battery disconnected for about 10 minutes. When I reconnected it, the starter would not engage. The front turn signal lights were both blinking, and I could hear a relay clicking inside the dashboard. The hazard lights were not turned on. Lastly, simply opening the driver's door (with no keys in the ignition) causes the door chime to ding twice, pause, ding twice again, on and on. I'm thinking that this might be some sort of security system, but I don't really know.

Any of you guys seen this before?

clean your connections on the battery, sounds like a bad connection

I called the previous owner and sure enough, there's an aftermarket alarm that can disable the starter. He told me where a little toggle switch is located to reset the thing-worked like a champ. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll be posting more drivel about the ecm in this car shortly...

take the aftermarket alarm out expecially if you don't have the remotes

I need to take mine out. I discovered the toggle switch under the dash and I do not have the remotes. Also part of it is in the engine bay and I want that ugly thing out of there LOL
