Previous Crash Damage and Crappy Repair?
I have been going over the pics of the donor car I am getting after I get my taxes back and the guy talked about cracks on the aprons in front of the shock tower. These pieces can be replaced individually but it looks like they tried to repair it and it was a crap job and now its coming apart. What do you guys think???This pic looks like it is just the seam of the apron and the body but it does look like its been screwed with at some point. Either way I am gonna buy the car for $500 and cut what I need off of it and do alot of parts swapping from this car to mine.

Depends on what you are needing. I am cutting both floors out from part of the firewall to part of the rear seat where it 90 degrees up and part of if not all of the hatch floor. Then the inside of the cowl area is comming off. Then what I don't see that is needed is getting scrapped or put in storage. All the suspension and rear end are going into my car along with the t5 swap parts.
I was thinking that it was partially rot too but just the way it looks it seems like it has been welded and screwed with. Which is the reason I said it looks like a crappy repair.
IF those "cracks" are easily repairable I am swapping VIN plates and just using that car probably.

No title. If they are my cars and always will be then I don't care if its illegal. Swapping out speedometers is illegal to but people do it all the time(because of the milage).
Man I can't wait until the tax check hits my account.
