Default what side dose the battery box go on

i just got my battery box today and i cant remember what side they go on

I dont know if it matters... prolly for ease or running wires, I'd say the driver side to you can just run the power wire straight to the solenoid, but Ive seen it on the pass side too...

I put mine on the d/s for that reason. When the car launches, the left rear is the side that comes up unless the car is so stiff there is no twisting at all.

ok so on the driver side i have the box that summit racing sells is there anything i have to do so i can take it to the track

That's interesting because weight transfer is exactly the reason why my friend mounted his on the passenger side of the trunk. We are bigger on autox than drag racing though so having the battery on the passenger side would help offset the weight of the driver during cornering (in theory at least, but it makes sense to me).

To the OP, I doubt there is a "right" side but if you are concentrating on drag, Pro5.0's advice seems to make the most sense.

everywhere i read said passenger side to offset the drivers wait. but a battery weighs what 20lbs if that, so i don't think it really matters.
