Exclamation wiring question

I was looking at a car (foxbody) that has been setup for drag racing. All the turnsignals, brakelights, headlights and everything else non race functional has been removed. If I were to get a new wiring harness, what type of job am I looking at? Is wiring really hard, or just a long process? Also I know painless makes these kits but their Is another company I've heard about that is a ripoff of painless's kits but for cheaper. Anyone know the company!

I have heard that the painless wiring is great; but I don't really want to drop 500$ on the wiring. I know there is another company out their that does the same as painless for cheap. anyone know of this company?
