Default Hatch

I did a search and didn't find much. I need a new hatch. Its still a little cold up here in Michigan to go to any junk yards. I did find a fiberglass one for $250. I have a 1992 lx. I know these cars are already light in the back end. Would getting a fiberglass hatch make it much worse. It is a bolt on hatch that uses all the stock equipment. I guess what I am asking what are the pros and cons of getting one? Can I use my stock glass in it so I still have defrost.

makes getting traction under acceleration harder, but your cornering and braking will improve

Maybe I will move the battery to the trunk if I do get it.
