Default throttle body whistle, and maf housing ?

hey fellas i picked up a 70mm bbk throttle body with matching egr spacer for 80 bucks, i installed it and at idle it whistles. when you give it gas and the butterfly it stops.

also i got a larger, dont know what size, maf housing. it loooks like for a 94 or 95 cause it dosnt mount like mine, and you bolt something to it on the inlet side. can i use this and what part do i need to be able to mount my filter to it, thanks guys

i've heard that some bbk throttle bodies do that. you can drill a hole in it and it'll solve the problem. i think fivepointohh did it to his so you'd have to pm him. I assume you have the maf for sn95's so you need the elbow adapter, check ebay.

I make people **** their heads when I accelerate briskly, since it sounds like it spools with my RPMs

yeah but it does get annoting. the throttle b osy itself is great, much better throttle respnse.

My sensor is calibrated for 19lbs, do you have to get a special housing for 19lbs too. i thought it was just the sensor but im not for sure?

yea, i have a BBK 70mm throttle body and EGR and about 1/2 throttle it whistles, exhaust is much to loud to hear it now-a-days. seems to be louder when its cold out.

ive heard taking it apart and smoothing out where it meets the IAC and the holes or w/e for the air to flow into the IAC to almost a polished look will make it stop.

i dont mind it, and sence my girlfriend is so easy to entertain she giggles and carrys on everytime she hears it. "oooooh, the wistle! i heard it! did you!" "yeeees Becky, i heard it."

lol
