Default intake/heads question

Im trying to get all the parts together for a heads and cam swap, im going to install an e-cam and gt-40p heads. i know that this is probably a stupid question but i was wondering if i needed a gt40 lower in order to work with the heads? this will be my first time doing this kind of thing so im lost on what will work or not

thanks in advance

no, any 302 intake will bolt up to the gt40 heads. but the lower intake and plenum must match.

if you dont have an E cam already id shop around for something else first unless you are worried about emissions.

thanks for the replies guys, the only reason why im going with an E cam is because my brother gave it to me when he gave me his car, same with the heads. so far ive bought 1.6 rr, new lifters and pushrods for the build. i would get a gt40 intake right now but im going to use that as my senior project in autos class so im trying to put that off for a bit, as weird as that sounds lol.

...Nothing wrong with the E cam...$$$ was right! ...I'd agree, get a Cobra GT40 intake, look used if the budget is tight!

haha yeah exactly

im definately going to get a new intake, probably a gt40 unless i run into some money and can afford like a trick flow or something along those lines. after i graduate im planning a 347 stroker build already.

oh another question for you guys, what would be a good clutch to get? mine is slipping terribly and after i get the swap done i know im going to explode it lol
