cutting springs

Default cutting springs

is cutting the springs a good thing to lower the car, has anybody ever done this, and does the ride suck with cut springs

I wouldn't suggest cutting your springs, not only will your ride quality suffer but your car's stance will look retarded if you mis-cut the springs. I've seen people do it and it looks good, but I strongly suggest you just save up some money and do it right.

yeah i think i will get me some instead of cutting them just asking cause i remember when i had a crx i cut the springs and the ride sucked you could feel every bump and i was just wondering if it would be the same with the 5.0

You can cut the springs and have a decent ride just cut off 1 coil or so and it won't cost you anything. Talk to jasper

I cut mine, no complants and it was free. Besides, if you don't like how it rides or handels, get new springs, you wont be out anything but a little time.
