Was hoping to see if anyone has used the hurst chrome shifter stick and hurst rubber boot on there 87-93.

Was wondering how it looks, meaning is it a neat install with the factory trim piece or do you take that out and just use the rubber?
Don't want to buy it it it really does look good when installed.
Would love the classic look though.....

Thanks

I have it in my car. I used a black ball instead of the white one. It looked great for a while. Then the rubber boot wore out in only a year or so. Plus I only use it from May to October. Anyway here's a pic.

I just installed that kit in my car with the white ball. It looks amazing. I love that classic muscle car look. I have all black interior and the chrome stick and white ball really set it off.

Just a quick quesiton for the first response, how did you attach the plasic plate to the console?

factory shift boot unclips...you gotta pry it up...its got clips at the four corners...the hurst shift boot clips into the plastic retainer and snaps down like the factory assembly did. extremely easy install.

is this what I will need?

My car did not have the shift boot and bezel when I bought the car. Are these the clips I will need to install the hurst kit properly?

Mine is a little different looking, but I have the hurst sst which uses a different stick. That plate doesnt quite fit over it so I had to shoehorn it over the shifter.
