Default pistons

im about to order a new short block for my 92 5.0. The motor comes with Silvo-Lite cast pistons. I want the car to be able to make like 350 or so. I just wanna know if those pistons will hold up to that. I cant really find any info on them and im pretty sure theyll be alright for that kinda power but i wanted to double check before i ordered it. Thanks guys

The pistons are good for OEM applictations. I wouldn't consider them for any kind performance application. Thats just me. I've seen lots of factory built engines come with reg cast pistons and even under pretty heavy power levels they hold up well but if your shortblock is coming with those pistons the builder takes no pride in the build. It's just an OEM replacement for what I consider a work truck engine. Silvo-Lite makes the Keith Black line which is a much better piston. I'd be looking somewhere else for my shortblock

I had KB ones and sprayed a 100 shot with ease and the pistons held fine
