The ebay air intakes for my car are $90, I can get one of the el cheapo's from latemodel restoration cheaper.

 

ive got a bbk and i like it ... a little higher than some but i didnt pay for mine so ......

if you can get one cheap id say go for it

 

put the money towards slicks; youll be much happier.

 

i dont know if mine was a freak or something but when i did my BBK CAI it REALLY woke my car up. i went from being about 6-7 cars behind a buddy of mine at works 2003 GTi 20th to dead even. i dont know what it was (maybe the cone filter on my stock intake was garbage or something) but it was the best $130 i ever spent on my car.
still takes a back seat to gears ;-)

remove air silencer and get a K&N drop in filter, instant CAI....

Ive got a kenne bell ram air kit... the previous owner installed it.. the ram air vent is a bit chewed up from wear, but unless i breaks off I'm not wasting my money on a new vent... its getting sold or trashed after I upgrade to my future 331 turbocharged heart
