Default cylinder head identification

I just got back from pullin an (5.0)H.O. out of a thunderbird along with the trans and wiring harness for my mom's car. and I noticed that the heads have the number 13 on the side of them and I don't think my e7's hae that # on them but I could be wrong, am I?

I think they are E6's. I know they used them in the crown vic/ town cars til the pu the 4.6 in them. I think the only thing that got the E7's was mustang and the trucks. I have a book I will see if it says that t-bird had E6 heads.

I found it in the book. It said E6AE's were used in all no HO engines in passenger car excluding the mustang from 86-91.

did the crown vics have h.o. motors in them

well i have a book too and it says that the e6's were used until 1987 or 88 in most of the ford and mercury non mustang and truck so what year is it... and it should have a part number somewhere under the valve cover with a e7 or e6 on it.

this motor came out of a 5.0 H.O. thunderbird and that's what's confusing me
