Default Please Help, Startor Problem I believe?

I have a 92 Mustang 5.0. I have owned the car for a year with no problems at all. This morning I wnet to start my car and I got multiple clicks, but no turn over at all. I went to turn the key again and I got nothing, no clicks or no signs of life. My battery is brand new, and the battery is not the problem as all my lights and accessories worked. There has been no signs of anything getting weak or actiing funny leading up to this. I suspect a startor, but please help I need to go to work in a few hours. Thanks in advance for your responses.

check all the connections to the starter and soleniod also check the bat connections, make sure all are tight and corrosion free. after thant if it still does it you can try tapping on the starter with a hammer while someone tries to start it if it starts then the starter probly has a bad spot in it

I tried all of the above. I am charging my jumper box right now to try and jump it, but its going to take a few hours to charge. The startor has always started strong with no problems prior to this morning. I am upset, and going to have to miss work as i work an hour away. Thanks for your help though

if all connections were tight and the car jump starts, then I'd check for a parasitic drain on the battery, done by removing neg battery terminal and hooking a DVOM in series set to amps and measuring draw at rest...25-50 milliamps is spec at rest

do you have jumper cables??? before going any further with diagnosis, we really need to see if the car will jump start...if so then you most likely have a dead battery and my reason for the drain test is if the battery went dead and you didn't leave anything on then you need to see if something is staying on thsat you can't see.......go out and turn the lights on , on the car, do they light up bright or not at all??

Yeah the light seem a bit dimmer than usual, so hopefullly it is just the battery. But i do not have access to cables right now, and I don't believe I left anything on last night to drain the battery. I definately appreciate you helping me with your knowledge though. Like i said though. The first time i went to start it it clicked several times. 10 seconds later I tryed to restart and nothing happened, no clicking or nothing, whihch seems unusual. But i still have lights and accessories. The lights seem dimmer than usual, but maybe its just because im looking for them to be dim. lol
