Sounds pretty good, I'm going to guess flowmasters lol ?

I wish I had an 86, love the front end, love the speedo cluster.

Nice car, also nice touch going spoilerless, I like it.

Well, it's hard to say since I went from the rock stock 86 5.0 to the 347 I have now with all the parts at once. I can tell you I felt that difference! They come in two different styles, stock runners and GT40 style. I didn't want to go with a plain 40 upper form an explorer or the tubular one for two reasons, those uppers were going to be too restrictive and the GT40 lower I got seperate was extrude honed to the max. I know they're like $300 new but I got mine with like 20 miles on it for $100 off eBay.

What do you think I have an E7 headed 347 with a stock bumpstick? Hehe. Box intakes shorten up the runners for higher end power. I'm running an inch spacer as well so it balances out.

I love that upper box. It really cleans up the engine's look and not many people have it. And if I ever decied to boost it, it gets replaced in a Kenne Bell system completely. But the way trends are going and I love their sound, I think I'd turbo it instead.

Yes, unfortunately, they are flows. They've been in there since I had and the owner before me. I'd like to get a different catback come day but (now this may sound contradricting since you did identify them) they sound really good with the LTs and X pipe, yet they don't have the super typical Flowmaster sound.

Thanks for the compliments! I wouldn't trade the -86 cluster for the Taurus 87+ style any day!

I'm glad you like the spoilerless look. When I first did it, a lot of people on here weren't all about it on here. It's a fiberglass hatch and IT won't ever rust, yet it doesn't fit the greatest and woudn't get another one I still have the original with the rust cut out and stripped so it may go back on again some day. Plus it gives a little bit of a no frills look.

Yea, I can identify flows from a mile away, they just have that sound to them. Personally I'll probably never have flows again, used em on my old truck, and I liked it. But it's just so common, I'd like a slightly different sound.

I hear ya on the hatch, our car is also spoilerless, in the build thread and what not people used to be like hey it needs a wing ect. But I've grown to really like the look of wingless. I also like your color combo.

haha, i noticed a small cam, but nothing "crazy"

well that's great to hear, sound's like you have the car set up really nice!

i like the idea of a box intake for nitrous too, because they would be less prone to pooling with a fogger system!

I Love it! Tame bordering on mild mannered at idle, pure unadulterated madness at WOT. Perfect IMO...

I have the XE274HR. The vid didn't really show its idle very well. I'd like to go bigger some day.

You want to be careful with those uppers on nitrous , though. If I ever did I would want to install a window switch to turn off the nitrous before rev limit. I've seen pictures of that intake blown apart when a guy hit rev limit on the nitrous.
