just another irritation of the AFR heads.....try indexing the plugs

yeah, that would make sense then, but dont all AFRs have guide plates, the thing just says "Needs Hardened Pushrods with 1402"....

i guess ill pick some up when i get a chance to pull the engine, or when one breaks =/

did yours have guideplates??? most pedastal mount ones won't as the pedastal tray in which the pedastal sits keeps the rocker squarely centered on the valve tip where as on stud mount it is the guide plate which keeps the rocker sitting properly on the valve tip
