i have a 86 gt bone stock with 36000 original miles, what is the best setup engine mod wise for this year motor? i heard since the pistons are flat top its not worth putting money into and just get an 87-93 motor to modify. Im looking to do heads/cam/upper lower intake, cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, and any other suggestions. The trans is stock except cobra clutch short throw shifter and 3.73 gears. I have bbk shorty headers and h-pipe with flows. Any ideas would be appreciated! thanks

 

WELL SINCE your speed density, choosing the proper cam is key, and about the only head choice you can use without swapping pistons are tfs twisted wedge heads
