Question Gear Question

I had to pull my rear end apart to replace the clutches in the trak-lok. I discovered i have 308 gears. I would like to change them to 373's but I don't have the money right now. I called my brother-in-law and he said he had a set of 410's that I could have. I don't drive on the interstate at all, and never over 60mph on the road ( except when playing Ha Ha ). What do you guys think, should I go ahead and change them while I'm there or wait?

It's just a weekend car. I just got it about 2 months ago because I've always wanted one to tinker with and maybe take to the track every once in a while.

then go for it you'll feel a lot of difference with those 4:10's vs those stock 3:08's

Thanks for the advice. I can't get the gears put in until next weekend. It's killing me seeing it setting on jack stands.

only the 5 speeds came with 3.08's from the factory ...I would use the 4.10's for that good $$$$ of free!

Yeah, you can't beat the price. If I can get some traction, I should get one heck of a launch. My son has a 91 and we are always kidding each other about who's car is faster, which we will settle one day. The funny thing is there both on jack stands right now. Mine for the rear end and his for the clutch.
