T-5 shiftin problems
Reverse will always grind, it has no syncro. If you can, do what I do and try to throw it in reverse as soon as you turn the car on(if you need to back out of a parking space), that way it will not grind. If you are already driving, come to a stop, then need to throw it in reverse.... your gonna grind, you can't avoid it.
I believe 92 and newer have a synchronized reverse so they wont grind....anything older will unless you do the 5th to reverse.
And I also agree on adjusting the clutch. I would recommend an adjustable firewall adjuster and adjustable cable.

That is the best way. It reminds you that your clutch is working perfectly and it doesn't needlessly wear the syncrhos.
On cars with quiet exhaust or loud transmissions. You can hear when the input shaft stops spinning after pressing the clutch pedal down and it's time to engage reverse.
5.0stanger recognizes the feature I have. Technically it's only a brake to stop the gear from spinning. The car still must be completely stopped.
True synchronized reverse is shown here. Look fence out the front window.
