Default tailight question

so my right rear blinker went out on the way to school yesterday. i picked up new 3157bulbs and went to replace it this morning, i removed the trunk liner, and noticed that there is no visible socket to replace the light bulb, do i need to unplug the harness and remove the tailight assembly to replace the bulb? owners manual didn't have anything useful in it, so i figured somebody on here would know. by the way its a 95 gt with the factory horizontal lights.
