thats the same specs on the cam I had in my truck but it was on a 112 lobe.
It was decent in a 360, should be quite a bit more in a 302.

Obviously its a bit different, but same specs, rough idea.

Nope I have 1.6 rr's which will bring me down to the same lift you have .512. The reason I went with the lower lobe is because I felt a "peakier" power band would be a better suit for my application. I figured with with a more peaky curve I wouldn't necessarily be losing that much all around power but more like gaining more in one optimized area. Because the car is generally at full throttle (racing or just my driving habits in general) I know I'll be making the most of the power I have right when and where I need it.
(not that 2 degrees is gonna make much of a difference anyway but hey, every bit helps)
Cheers!

If you take a close look in the video, there were some snow flurries that day as well.....but ill take that over ice cold air with the wind whiping. Worked with my buddy to put a cam in his chevelle in weather like that. I used to be a winter person, that scarred me for life.
Not saying you would, but do us all a favor and dont have your idle retarded low so it has more lope. Any 'coolness' that people try to show off with a cam goes out the window when I hear how retarded some of those people put their idles. 500rpm doesnt sound good!!!!!!!

here is kinda what i mean. i know the set up is different but its supposed to be higher compression motor. does anyone know if my exhaust note will "pop" like this video? does the cam make the "pop" or is it the compression?
it's a 306, tfs heads, hi compression pistons, xe282 cam, holley systemax intake, flowmaster muffler.

the compression makes it sound like that. it will still lump quite a bit bit it wont be quite as "sharp" with lower compression. what are you running for CR anyways 9-9.5:1? i wish THR would rev their cars higher, they dont seem to want to go past 5800rpm. a little 306 like that with ARP studs could see 6500rpm without a problem. and that cam will pull out that far too.
BTW, i love how high compression cars "bark" when you shift them
