i know a local mustang speed shop owner told me he has a 87 that was just full exhaust and sticky tires that he ran a 12.65 with consistanly. so i guess it is possible
well ive never found this guy to be a bull****ter.. he has no reason to he has a 8 second 5.0 sitting there along with 5 or 6 others that are his personally.. he wasnt saying it to sell me parts i asked him and he told me what his did.. he doesnt have that particular car anymore he had it in the early 90's
well the reason I said that is because I find it kinda hard to run that fast with just tires and exhaust I would believe that he needed more than that to run that fast
yeah i mean i would prolly think he was saying full exhaust i would put money he had gears maybe some suspension work.. i dunno.. i see videos of uncracked motors running in the 12's all the time
Yea thats what i was saying.. i thought he would need to have more work done but hey i guess we will have to wait and see when i start tearing the motor down on saturday if there is anything else done to it.. but the MPH is soo low thats what threw me off it shoulda traped 115 -118 for that 1/4 mile time.
And what is the normal difference in time between atco in nj and Cecil county dragstrip in md
Thats not right either, it really depends on the 60 foot. My LS1 Camaro went 11.5 @ 116 on a 1.52 60 foot, my 72 Nova went 11.4 @ 118 with a 1.60 60 foot. A low 12 like that should be 109-112 ish AGAIN it depends on the 60 foot.
