Default Top Speed

Im arguing with my older brother who insists that a stock 93 mustang would top out at 115 mph. (he also insists that he could outrun me in his 95 altima) I figure the top speed of a 93 gt would actually be around 140ish? Im I correct?

id say about 135-140 depending on gearing and how well the motor is in shape

you can hit 140 easily if the motor was still in good enough shape but I wouldn't suggest doing it way too many factors that can go wrong but here's a vid of a 1st through 4th gear pull to about 5500 and coulda went to 5th but was a little scared to
it was a little less than half a mile

the lx is 5mph faster than the gt due to the extra drag of the front bumper and what not.

i took a stock suspension sn95 (with 117k miles) to 130mph once and would advise agaisnt it. its not exactly the most stable imo.

Back when I got my car, it was all stock with some newer OEM suspension parts...

I hit 135 at around 4000 RPM in 5th. Drove pretty smooth becasue of the relatively new suspension parts. Only gripe was the noise of the wind on my driver's side door. The previous owner parked it in town and someone tried to break in. Just bent the door frame a slight bit.

yea when I had my 97 I hit a 130 in it once and it felt like the front end was floating.
Let's just say I didn't get it that fast again lol

I have been up to about 180kph in mine and that was fast enough. Everything starts to sway and float around haha. I really don't want to go much faster in a 23year old stock suspension brick.
