Pricing on an Engine
I have a 1979 Ford Mustang Official Pace Car, no matching numbers because a couple months after we bought it the original 302 block cracked. The car is completely torn apart, it was supposed to be my college car and my father tore the car apart before he left my mother. I would love to completely restore the vehicle but where is the money these days. The 302 in it now has about 40,000 miles on it. Instead of having the car rot any further I have decided to sell it. Body isn't going to be much, but what could I get for the engine is what I am really asking. It's 302 w/ Hooker headers, tranny is a 4 speed, edelbrock intake, maybe a holly carb can't remember if it's a two or four barrel.

Keep the car and restore it when you have the money. You don't have to worry about a numbers matching block becuse they wern't serial numbered to the car like 60's muscle cars were. You just need to find a block from a car like it of that year but that won't make much differance. Keep the body clean and do it when you can or a little at the time.
