Default spark plugs

whats up guys .. im wondering when gapping plugs is the hook being lifted or is the button being further set in ... im using one of these coin shaped gauges then i have a set of feeler gauges to verify where im at ... but it appears as if the button is being pushed in , not sure . .

also read about ten threads about gapping and you guys are going anywhere from .044 to .054 ... is it better to have it higher or lower depending on your application ? i also read that over time the gap will increase on its own ....

im gonna run autolite 25s on my stock engine but i do have msd cap rotor wires and coil ...

i gap at .045... as our ignition systems get older, they tend to get weaker, and sometimes cant jump the gap

LOL, I love this forum.. No it cant be pushed in. Some plugs are hard to gap and the Coin shapped gap tools are typicaly junk and made of soft metal that bends easily, making it harder to get it right. try the middle of the road .048 or .050

it just bends the frickin metal. it isnt doing something scientific. if you cant understand how gapping a plug works or how to gap a plug. then maybe u should go buy a brand new honda with a warranty.......................................... .....

I don't understand why you felt the need to make a post on a 5 day old topic that was resolved. The man wanted an answer to a simple question and he got it. There is no need to rub it in and try and make yourself look superior. I am sure at some point in your life you didn't know how to gap a spark plug.
