Smile MT Drag Radials

So I picked up a set of used 255/60's mounted on 10 holes on craigslist the other day for $80. And I am getting the fronts with good tires for free once the guy picks up his other 2 pony r's.

Can anyone tell me how deep the tread is on a new set? Here is what I have left.

Either way I can't beat a whole set of 10 holes with good tires for $80. I can't wait to put them on the car.

New they have about twice that much, maybe a little more. I run mine until they are totally bald.

I figured they would leave some street life left and plenty of track, a bald drag radial is still a good drag radial I would think.

It depends on the DR. A MT is the same compound all the way threw the tire. BFGs work better when they are worn as well. The Nitto's don't work as well when they are bald. I still pulled 1.5's on my MT's when they were bald, but they were not as consistent. On new set I would go 1.52-1.55 all day, on old ones it would be 1.58-1.61
