You can get a good paint job without an expensive gun.

It's funny, I used Sikkens base and Omni clear when I repaired my quarter acouple of weeks ago. That Omni clear sure does flow out nice after you spray it.

Just the clear was done with the Sata, he borrowed it from a guy he works with. The primer was laid down with a Devilbiss and his basecoat gun is a Matco.

UPDATE!

The car is all in paint, clearcoat just got laid down about an hour ago...





That's from a camera phone, once it's been cut and buffed, I'll take pics of it with my camera and post em up.

On a side note, Black Cherry is x100000 times better than Sonic Blue

We took the side skirts off, the front bumper and the front fender extensions.

the best way to paint with the body panels on is to loosen up the panels and shim them with popsicle sticks... that way you dont seal the gap with paint. which will eventually crack and the paint will peel from there

For inexpensive clear Omni is pretty good. That color looks really nice on there. Post up a shot of it out in the sunlight when you can.
