331 efi stroker mpgs? and other build questions

whats your opinions on some iron heads like the windsor jr, windsor sr or the dart iron eagle heads for an engine like this? are those heads any better than gt40s? the place where im really confused is the electronics aspect of it so if anyone has pointers on what will be needed there itd help alot
now what do you mean the electronics aspect?

by electronics im meaning stuff like the computer, maf sensor, fuel injectors..it seems like #24 injectors are recommended for 300-400hp so they should be enough? it would be convenient since i have a set of new accel 24# injectors sitting in a box lol, what injectors do you have in your 331?

so basically it will run as long as you have the appropriate size injectors for the motor with the right mass air meter to go with them? and would run a little better with a tune. did you get a custom tune on yours?

never got around to it... the old 88 was just too much trouble, as in anything that could break did....after so long i just got rid of it. and got my 95.
but yea as long as you have the correct maf for the injectors etc like you said it will run. if you put too big a cam in a car like mine a 94-95 they get angry lol. mines running fine with a trickflow stage 1

i was planning on one of the crane computer compatible cams which arent very wild cams but certainly alot better than stock and are probably similar to the trickflow stage one. as long as itll run decent for a good amount of time without the tune i think ill be happy and maybe get around to getting a custom tune at somepoint. i just dont want to hurt anything by not getting a tune for it. good lookin 95 by the way

im actually building this for a 90 crown victoria but the drivetrain is identical to the mustang, 5.0/aod trans and such. the stock 302 crown vic engines were 50hp less than the stock mustang ho due to worse heads, cam, pistons and intake. so this 331 oughta wake it up lol. in short its a mustang that wieghs an extra 1000 pounds. i think itll be the first 331 crown vic ive seen, but asking the people that work exclusively on the crown vics they dont really build engines like this very often so i always end up asking my performance questions here.

if youre going for a vic the cam wont work. the non HO motors had a different firing order, different injector pulse times etc. unless you swap in a stang computer or throw a carb on top of it... the plan you got isnt gonna work. i'm thinking of putting my old motor in my old truck but i'm gonna put a carb on it. the non HO's are the old 302 firing order, the HO motors are the 351 firing order

i already knew that stuff but thanks anyways. it will have a stang computer and maf, the car is getting completely reworked from the ground up. the factory engine in these cars sucked not being an ho and they dont have maf either, so the car is getting completely gutted and rebuilt.
