Default engine choice question

im readdy to build my mustang now since the weather is getting good and all but i have been looking around and wanted to know what are the pros and cons of choosing a 302 based engine or a 351w based engine.

if i choose something like a 347 i hear a lot pf people say that it would end up being a quicker car than going with a 408 or 427.

and when they say that a block is a roller block or non roller is that reffering to roller cam or flat tappet cam??

It's another forum but it has links on that page to the pros and cons of 351w and 302 and what you need to make a 351w work in a mustang.

what do you intend to do with the car? what kind of budget do you have? what will you be doing with it in the years to come. is gone to stay a street car or gone to be a track only car and do you have to pass emissions?

as far as budget right now i have no idea . i want to build it for the 1/4 mile track and i dont indend to drive it in the street as i dive it once every 3 months and i would like to keep it fuel injected maybe switch to aem stand alone or sometihng similar.

and right now im leaning towards a man o war block since dart does not seem to make a 351w aluminum block.

and is there an advatage to using an aluminum block?

meaning the block is set up for a roller cam and a non roller is not set up for such without special lifters

if you are going to an aftermarket block why stop at a 408?...418?..427..438...or a 445?

and if a 347 and 351 based stroker were built at the same level i don't see a 347 even coming close in performance to a 351 whatever..
