iv replace the sending unit and the gauge still does not read anything. is there a replacement for the gauge itself?

 

How do you know it's the gauge and not a wiring issue. Don't just throw parts at it.

 

pro50sc may be right, you need to check the wiring under the hood to the gauge for an open

 

u guys didnt answer my question...

 

Put a good Autometer Manual gauge in it and call it a day. There are several engine fuctions I want to be absolutly sure of. Coolant temp and oil pressure. I won't trust a factory gauge for those two. Yes there is a replacement. You just need to find a mounting point
