Okay thanks alot blade. Im gonna do that tomorrow during the day for sure ill take pics

and thanks! alot of work went into the interior and i love how it came out.

If i start sanding down the rust on the exterior and prime it/paint it will probably look pretty rough dont u think? all patchy and stuff? i eventually want to get a repaint anyways but the earlier i get rid of the rust the better right? so you think i should start sanding all the rust spots around the car?

If you get the actual color automotive paint.. I think itll be alright.. If youre going to use dome depot 99 cent black paint then im sure itll come out like crap. lol.

If you just touch up the rust spots only then it wouldnt be every noticable. I know black paint is very unforgiving compared to white paint.

Okay FINALLY! i figured out whats wrong with my gas gauge!

After hours of researching forums and learning about fuel sending units and how a gas tank actually works and taking notes for things to check/fix i simpily emailed the previous owner of the car and asked if he knew what was up with the gauge and if he ever had a problem. He said the floater is messed and the needle on the gauge will stay stuck past FULL untill the gas tank is 1/4 or under then it will reregister it self and the needle will drop and give me an acurate reading of 1/4 or under lol.

So i saved some time with trial and error and learned alot about another part of my car lol. SO now i either have to drive knowing i either have a random amount over 1/4 or an acurate reading under 1/4..

Unless i drop the tank? and replace the floater? Is what im getting the impression of?

it sounds more like a problem with the reostat? ,i think it called, on the sending unit. normally when a float breaks it fills with gas and sinks reading empty all the time.

the reostat? im assuming thats a wire in the sending unit? so what would i do? replace the sending unit?

i hope that doesnt involve dropping the tank. i wanna try and avoid having to do that
