Anyone ever used this tool?
I must admit someone had their thinking cap on but several things come to mine. Like stated It would be tough to degree the cam (but could be done), For me personally I rather inspect the lifters while I had the intake off and in my case it would take me all of about 5 minutes to get my intake off and about twenty minutes to prep the surface and reinstall it. (I built my car for ease of access. I don't even have to move a plug wire to get my valve covers off). I can however see the benifits if you have a trick intake system and wanted to make a slight cam swap on a fairly fresh engine with Hyd roller lifters. You can degree the cam from the rocker arm so thats no big deal.
The biggest thing that worries me is they have it listed for 79-95. Those guys with hyd flat tappet cams are going to be in huge trouble when they leave the old lifters on a new cam.
The other concern I have is suppose one of the lifters drops off when you bump the car during the cam swap. Getting the oil pan off is going to be a lot tougher than the intake. Like I said someone had their thinking cap on but to many risk and not enough information. I can see some people getting into real trouble over this one
