Never heard of a nightstalker converter.I can tell you that if you call someone like ATI,They will ask about your combo and then tell you what will stall where.
You have to make sure that you have the associated mods to go with the cam to make it pull like it should. Then you can look at a converter and see what it was designed to stall at behind what amounrt of torque.Obviously a 500ftlb big block will shove a 2800 designed for a small block making maybe 350 ftlbs of torque to 4000.
Call the company you are looking at a converter from and see what question they ask and go from there.

call a big name company like art carr, etc. and tell them what you have. they will tell you what stall speed is best. plan on spending $500+ on a good converter. you can buy a cheap converter that claims a 3000 stall speed but it might stall 2200 if your lucky. i paid $800 for my converter i think i got off cheap concidering i got one free restall

I feel your pain........this last go around was between 2-2.5k............but I jut got it up and running 2 days ago, still tweaking some things but the short blast out to the street corner and back revealed a whole new beast!!!

Then don't bother, you won't get anything much better than stock for that price. A converter is one place you cannot be cheap, unless you want the car to be a turd. You need to budget about twice that $350 if you want a good converter that will let the car run what it should.
